ITALY_ CITY OF FONDI

Fondi's main sights include:
  • The Castle, with a characteristic round tower standing more than 30 metres (98 ft), symbol of the city. The castle was built in the 14th century by Onorato I Caetani over a stretch of ancient Roman walls. In the 16th century it was the seat of Giulia Gonzaga's court of literates and artists. Since 1987 it houses the City's Museum.
  • The adjacent Palazzo del Principe ("Prince's Palace"), constructed in 1466–77 is attributed to the Catalan architect Matteo Forcimanya. Its portals, the mullioned window, the court and the loggiato form a synthesis of Catalan-Gothic and Angevine architectures.

Very good

We enjoyed this quiet place in the nature, escpecially sitting on the patio under the vine. The new furniture in this house is modern and fresh. You will have a pleasant time at the house when you're not in the mood to make excursions or to stay at the beach.
The gravel road between the house and the Via Appia is not the best, but with a little bit of adventure spirit it is absolutely no problem. You need definitely a car and the aim to stay at that quiet place "alone".
The room at the top floor is not high enough for tall persons to move in comfortable. In the summer month was it too hot to sleep there. In addition, the top floor is not really separated from the master bedroom, because there is no door, only some stairs. Our two teenage girls  slept in the tv-room and livingroom on the available couches.
Enough about describtion! All in all, we really enjoyed staying there with the whole family and would like to come again.

Spending a holiday in this beautiful place is a lovely experience. The house is well equipped and its site at the foot of the hills is very nice. Fondi is a cute village providing you with everything you need. The sea is close so that you don´t miss a pool and the region offers plenty historical places in any driving distance. We enjoyed our stay very much and can highly recommend this place.

The old casale is a really gorgeous place, highly recommended! We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is spacious, the modern interior is very tasteful and aesthetic, the landscape and the view from the terrace is marvelous. We had a very good and hearty communication with Fabiana. Thanks a lot, Fabiana! If possible, we would be glad to come back somedays!

I spent two days together with my partner and the location, the welcome, the accuracy of the furnishings, the beauty of the surrounding nature made this stay magical
We will definitely return to experience  and stay more days to visit Gaeta, Sperlonga and the coast bays.
